Spring and Fall Bear Hunting

Spring Bear Hunting: Lolo Management Zone

Our 2-on-1 professionally guided Spring Bear hunts are done at our camps (depending on the type of hunt) located on the upper end of Dworshak Reservoir (53 miles long). The hunting is done over bait sites or glass and stalk areas. The hunt is a 7 day trip with 5 full hunting days. The area is timbered with large open hillsides for glassing. Elevation is 1650' to 2600'. We take a maximum of 4 hunters per week. Larger groups by special arrangements. This is an excellent opportunity for you to take a nice Black Bear with your rifle or bow. We occassionally take bear in the different color phases.

Fall Bear Hunting: Lolo and Panhandle Management Zones

Clearwater Outfitters 2-on-1 professionally guided Fall Bear hunts are a pack in by horse type trip. You'll glass and stalk berry patches, and bait sites are used if necessary. You'll ride from our end-of-the-road Base Camp to our High Camp about 6 miles into Idaho backcountry. The trip is an 8 day trip with 6 full hunting days. Our camps are set up with wall tents (guest tent, guide tent, cook tent, privy tent, etc.) and each have stoves and cots. You'll ride from camp each morning and return to camp each night. Meals are full course meals with lunches being sent with you each day. We try to keep each camp at a maximum of 4 hunters. Larger groups by special arrangement. Altitude ranges between 4000' and 6000'.
